Introduce
   Tools for genome annotation and pathway information mining are required for the emergence of newly sequenced complete genomes. To address this need, GAPMap have been developed for genone annotation, pathway mapping and genome-wide sub-pathway comparison.
   Firstly, Best Bidirectional Hits (BBH) method was employed to precisely identify phylogeneticly nearest orthologous gene relationship in all annotated target genomes.
   Then,sub-pathway which presents the linear reaction relationship between two compounds was extracted from the reconstructed metabolic network.
   Finally, GAPMap generates a web-browser-based system which contains five parts: the gene annotation information part, KO Assignment information part, compound information part, pathway mapping information part, and support information part.

Software Application
There have been several Organisms(eukaryotes and prokaryotes) to be annotated by GAPMap,Schistosoma Japonicum as eukaryotes and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae as prokaryotes,respectively, and more species genome will be annotated by GAPMap.
